Woof!
These guys are actually the reason I decided to start a Witch Hunter warband. I had some ideas floating around (as well as quite a few different miniatures) but when I came across this pack over at Warlord Games I knew I had to use them. There are a couple of official sculpts for the Witch Hunter warhounds but they're pretty much atrocious so I really didn't want to use them.
These mastiffs are realistic 25mm scale though, so when you put them next to a GW mini they're a little bit on the small side (especially considering that a full grown male can weigh in at 110 kg!), but with proper basing I don't think it'll be very noticable. Speaking of which, I just realized that none of the models I've shown on this blog has been properly based! It's horrible really! But, things should change soon enough. I'm getting my old bucket of sand back tomorrow so my Gears at least will soon look much nicer.
Anyway, here's the pack together with Herr Fleischman:
In other news, I played Battles of Westeros with my friend Anders a few days ago and it was a lot of fun! I'll write about it a bit more in depth in a later post after I've had a chance to play it again, but suffice to say I like it! Seems like a very good mix/compromise of miniature and board game.
Oh, and I just finished reading A Clash of Kings, the second book of A Song of Ice and Fire. Great stuff so far!
Nice looking puppies !
ReplyDeleteThey will make a tasty vampire snack someday ;-)
The rest of my warband is still in the mail, so for the moment it's back to WHD! ... But I'll soon catch up again !
Grtz
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not really rushing anything either. Just taking things as they come at the moment. I think I might get back to painting spaceships for a bit now...
